RAJAHMUNDRY: Tapeswaram village near Mandapeta in East Godavari district is popular for kajas. Tapeswaram Suruchi Foods is famous over the entire State and even in the USA for their sweets. This year the owner of Suruchi Foods has come forward to offer 450 kilos of laddu to the tallest (55 feet) Ganesh idol in the State at Khairtabad.
“This year I want to offer this mega laddu at free of cost to Hyderabad Ganesh for which the making cost would be Rs.80 thousand,” said Polisetty Mallikharjuna Rao who is popularly known as Malli Babu.
For making this laddu, Malli Babu has requested the help of his employees
who readily agreed.
During making of the laddu everyone involved in it should wear “Ganesh Mala” including Malli Babu. After making this laddu, Suruchi Foods will hold a procession and display it on September 10 of this month and on 11th they will take to Hyderabad.
Ingredients
When asked about what the ingredients they were using for preparing the mega laddu, Malli Babu said that 175 kg of sugar, 125 kg of moog dal, 100 kg of oil, badam, cashew, pista, kismis together 50 kg would be used to make it.
