TIRUNELVELI: On the occasion of Holy Ramzan, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited has announced special tariff plans for General, General all@49, Saral Anant, Saral Anant Vinadi, En Nanban and 3G General (120 Prepaid) customers.
An official statement said that a recharge coupon worth Rs. 786 will have full talk time of Rs. 786 and is valid for 180 days.
Further 786 free SMS is allowed to local, national BSNL and other private operator networks. Validity of free SMS facility will be for 30 days from the date of activation. This festival offer can be availed till September 30.
About one hundred mobile phone transmission towers were being installed on war footing to render better service to the public.
During the month of August alone 20 towers were added in Tirunelveli district at Pappakudi, Gopalasamudram, Vellankuli, Yemankulam, Kadayalarutti, Veerasigamani, Perumpathur, Pudupatti Ramnagar, Mayamankurichi, Karuvandha, Nettur, Courtallam Five Falls, Paimpozhil (Panboli), Azhagiyapandiapuram, Pallikottai, Palayamkottai Market, Irukkanthurai, Thanakkarkulam, Vadakku Veppilankulam and Kundal.
Sales Mela will be conducted within ten days at these places to reach the doorsteps of the customers at their convenience.
To emphasise its slogan ‘BSNL is the real friend of the public', a four wheeler named “Yen Nanban' will be moving around in Tirunelveli and Palayamkottai areas for two days on September 9 and 10 between 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. The vehicle will be parked at important places and the public can avail all the BSNL services from it.
The exact locations, time and date of vehicle movements will be announced through the newspapers on September 8.
