TIRUPATI: ‘Nada Neerajanam' has become the most-acclaimed programme of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), having fetched the maximum mileage in its endeavour to propagate Hindu Dharma. The novel programme of roping in well-known singers, dancers, instrumentalists and music exponents for singing the glory of Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala had turned out to be a big hit with the artistes, organisers, devotees as well as the music-lovers scattered across the globe.
The programme has been running for the last 365 days.
Every day at least 90 minutes programme in the form of classical music, spiritual discourses, bhajans and sankeertans
is being aired live through Sri Venkateswara Bhakti Channel (SVBC).
Classical dance
The year has seen several Carnatic and Hindustani classical vocalists, Kuchipudi, Andhra Natyam, Bharatanatyam, Odissi, Manipuri, Kathak, Kathakali, Mohini Attam and Chahra dancers and exponents of veena, violin, flute, mrudangam, gottu, mandolin, jala tharangam, sitar, santoor, guitar and other musical instruments perform at the sprawling open air auditorium in front of Tirumala temple.
Anniversary celebration
dance troupe from Indonesia will perform a mythological ballet on ‘The Ramayana' at the venue as part of the first anniversary celebrations on Sunday.
‘Wayang Wong' troupe, led by Budiartha Inymon, will present the epic in nine parts. Around 30 artistes, including five women and 15-member orchestra, will take part in the programme to be aired on the channel on Sunday.
