CHENNAI: Life Insurance Corporation of India has crossed the one crore-individual policies mark for the current financial year, with first premium income of Rs.15,917 crore in the fortnight ended August 14.
In the previous year, it had crossed this landmark on August 31, 2009, says a release. Western Zone was the largest contributors with more than 15.86 lakh policies followed by South Central Zone (15.46 lakh policies). — Corporate Reporter
