TIRUMALA: The three-day annual Pavithrotsavams of Lord Venkateswara will begin at the hill temple from August 20 with Ankurarpanam being performed the previous day.
Special rituals
In connection with the festival special rituals like Pavithra Prathista (Aug. 20) and Pavithra Samarpana (Aug. 21) will be performed inside the hill temple.
The annual fete will come to a grand conclusion with the conduct of ‘Purnahuti' on August 22.
Sevas cancelled
The temple administration cancelled the Arjitha Sevas like Kalyanotsavams, Brahmotsavams, Unjal Seva, Vasanthotsavams and Sahasra Deepalankara Seva on both August 20 and 22.
Rs. 5,000 ticket
Desirous devotees can participate in the auspicious festival on payment of Rs. 5,000 for the Seva ticket on which two persons will be allowed for darshan of the Lord.
