TIRUMALA: The temple administration of the famous hill temple of Lord Venkateswara on Wednesday got ready a mini golden ‘gaja vahanam' for the use of temple rituals. According to the temple sources, the mini ‘gaja vahanam' will be used on special occasions like Padmavathi Parinayotsavam and other temple related activities. The cost of the golden Gaja Vahanam is around Rs.60 lakh.
Wooden beams
The Tirumala temple administration on Wednesday also acquired 27 giant-sized wooden beams (poles) which will be specially used for carrying out the processions of the Lord.
The logs have been kept under the safe custody at the TTDs Vaibhavotsavam mandapam. After the completion of the ‘slicing', ‘plaining' and polishing process the poles will be brought into the use of the temple rituals.
