BELLARY: Gayatri Ashok, who runs a beauty parlour at Kottur, has made it to the Limca Book of Records. Styling her hair in seconds is the feat that has won her this honour.
She can style her hair in a French do in 4.12 seconds, in a bun in 8.10 seconds, get into full bridal wear, including wearing the sari, in 56.20 seconds, and all this without a mirror.
She has received a certificate from the Limca Book of Records, signed by its editor Vijaya Ghose.
“For the last 10 years, I have been styling hair and applying make-up for others. With the urge to achieve something unique, I decided to experiment styling my hair and apply make-up on myself in less than a minute. I performed the feat in the presence of Limca Record holders and hair stylists in Bangalore in February last year. The video recordings were then sent to the Limca Book of Records,” Ms. Ashok said.
Ms. Ashok has also sent a copy of the video recording to the Guinness World Records but is yet to hear from them.
