Milestone of India - Human initiative saved a Bird. (Punjan - India.)

CHANDIGARH: Here is a heart-rending story of a little crow trapped with the thread of a fallen kite atop a tree in the city.
The heart of a city youngster melted at the pitiable sight. He set out on Tuesday to rescue it.
The youngster, who is a lensman residing near the spot at Sector-56, could not bear the plight of the injured bird in pain, hanging from the thread of a kite entangled in a tree there. He rose to the occasion and rescued the little bird, uniting it with its parents.
The injured young crow was rescued from above the tree on Tuesday. Inquiries by The Times of India revealed that a young crow sitting pretty in its nest atop a 42-foot-high tree got into trouble on Sunday afternoon when a it got trapped in the thread of a kite. Parents of the entangled bird tried to free their young one in their own way but were unsuccessful.
This incident took place in Ambedkar Colony, Sector-56, on Sunday. A large number of colony residents noticed the injured young one hanging from the thread of a kite atop the tree, but they could not save the crying bird.
However, the injured and thirsty bird held on and tried its best to survive. Finally, on Tuesday, the lensman, residing nearby, began his mission to rescue the crow. First, he contacted the wildlife authorities, who failed to respond to his call. He then called up the PETA office in Sector-25 here, which also turned down his request and asked him to save the bird himself, the lensman claimed.
Tired and disgusted with the situation, he thought of saving the injured bird on his own. He called a boy from the colony and made him climb the tree.
The boy climbed the 42-feet tree and brought down the crying bird. The lensman then took the crow to his house and offered it some water.
He found that the crow's parents had been hovering around the place over the past three days. The little crow was later united with its parents.
WHAT A HAPPY END. LET THIS cONTINUE IN THIS WORLD.
