State-run power equipment manufacturer BHEL said that its power sets have generated 490 billion units electricity in 2009-10, an all-time in the company's history.
The company-built thermal, hydro, gas and nuclear sets produced a record 490 billion units of electricity in financial year 2009-10, a company statement said.
BHEL-manufactured thermal sets achieved a Plant Load Factor (PLF) or efficiency of 78.4 per cent.
BHEL-made 200-500 MW thermal sets operated at PLF of 82.1 per cent.
The company has already established the capability to deliver 15,000 MW of power equipment per annum and further augmentation to 20,000 MW per annum is proceeding apace.
