MUMBAI: Public sector lender, Andhra Bank, today said it has tied-up with the UAE Exchange Centre of Kuwait, to launch a special scheme for its customers for speedy remittances.
Using this service, Non-Resident Indians can now remit money from any of the UAE Exchange Centre in Kuwait and the money would be credited to account holders of 1,560 Andhra Bank branches the next day, a press release said here.
The beneficiaries in India will also get an SMS alert for the money credited in their account, if the account holders has provided his mobile number, it said.
The scheme was launched during a meeting of High Networth Individuals organised by the Andhra Bank in Kuwait, the release said.
A similar arrangement is in place with the UAE Exchange Centre of Abu Dhabi through which remittances worth Rs 17-crore per month are being remitted, the Bank said.
