Milestone - Karnataka Bank gets IT award. (South India - India.)

MANGALORE: City based Karnataka Bank Limited has bagged special award for use of IT for internal effectiveness for 2009. The award has been instituted by Institute for Development and Research in Banking Technology (IDRBT).
K C Chakrabarty, deputy governor, RBI presented the award to P Jayarama Bhat, managing director and CEO of the Bank in the presence of D Subbarao, governor, RBI at a function held at IDRBT, Hyderabad on June 18, a bank press release here on Tuesday states.
The Bank has networked all its 464 branches, thereby enabling Anytime Anywhere banking. The Bank has a slew of technology driven products tailored to meet the needs and demands of its large clientele.
