Milestone of India - Hudson Memorial Church celebrates its Anniversary. (Karnataka - India.)

BANGALORE: A landmark of the city turned a year older as the Hudson Memorial Church at Hudson Circle celebrated its 106th anniversary here on Sunday.

The church, which was built in 1904 in memory of Rev. Josiah Hudson, is a prominent attraction with its firm tower and several stained glass windows, an example of the neo-gothic style of architecture.

A prayer service was held in the morning at the church to mark the anniversary followed by a function at Hudson Memorial Church Community Centre.

Lokayukta N. Santosh Hegde, who participated in the celebrations, said that all churches always had their doors open to everyone and that Jesus was a universal god.

During the occasion, prizes were given away to winners of the inter-church competitions held on Saturday as well as scholarships for meritorious students.
